CHRISTMAS AT THE CHATEAU ||ROMANTIC CLASSICS CHALLENGE {2}.

Hello, my lovely buddies. After my last post about my childhood, here I am again with A BOOK REVIEW. Oh, isn’t it wonderful??? Books…beautiful books. I have been crazy about books since I was a baby. I always loved reading Horror, Thrillers, Mystery and Crime stories. These genres are my main love but I decided to explore other genres like the worst genre of my life; Romance genre. So here I am with the second review of my Romantic Classics Challenge, a challenge where I push myself to read romance and review them. Welcome to the second book of this challenge. Without any further ado, let’s start, shall we??

Romantic Classics Challenge is something I took up a long time back just to challenge myself and see if I can push myself into reading romantic novels. I have hated romantic mushy mushy novels since I was a kid because I know romance is just not my cup of tea but if you are a blogger, I guarantee you that you will set out to explore everything just for your readers so here I am with the second book review out of twelve books.

So let’s stop wasting time and start off with the review, shall we??

My Summary:

Poppy, an owner of three dogs and a great sketch artist while Leo is a vet and a rich guy. Falling in love with him might be the most beautiful thing that has happened to Poppy. Instead of going back home for Christmas, she decides to spend it with Leo and his family at the Chateau. With a promise of a great time and an awesome treasure hunt from Leo, Poppy finds herself amidst a beautiful yet unexpected conspiracy that makes her Christmas a day she will never forget.

My Ratings:

A great read.

My Review:

What am I supposed to write about a 49 pages book?? Well if I have to write something, I will say this BOOK WAS AWESOME. I know I don’t like romance a lot but this one was a cute one. I couldn’t stop smiling and the way things took turns in the treasure hunt made my heart jump. I can definitely say that this short read was so cute. The story was awesome and the concept was amazing. The way the author described the events made me imagine it happening right in front of me. I felt a part of this book. I would love to read more from this author, she is great.

Why I took 0.5 Stars??

If I am to be strict while rating this book, it didn’t have the 5-star factor in it. It was cute and all but it wasn’t unique. The ending was something I predicted a long time back. I predicted it even before the characters reached the chateau so I didn’t think that it was a 5 star read. Well, who am I to judge?? You guys try it out and rate it yourself. This book is a great read, super cute and sweet too. It deserves an hour of book club discussion.

So that’s it for today, my friends. I will post this and head back to Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I hope you all are safe. Stay home, people, it’s for your own good.

  1. Well done for sticking with a book that is not in your preferred genre. I tend to avoid science fiction books and horror.

  2. Oh no, not for me. Not even at only 49 pages. That would be 50 minutes of my life that I would never get back, and I don’t have that long left to waste. 🙂 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete. xx

    1. I knew you would say this Pete. 😂😂😂 The thing with me reading this is that I am trying to get indulged in the type of genres the teens of my age love. I have to cope up with my people, don’t I?? I am okayish with this genre now so when someone asks me to read a rom-com I can do that without hesitation and excuses.
