Have you ever read your horror genre’s favourite author’s short story with other authors stories too?? Like you picked up the book for his story but ended up liking all the other story except his? Yes, that happened to me. I love Ron Ripley. He is a genius. I read his novel Slater Mill in school.

As you all know I just started ebook reading. I found one of his novels; Horror stories by Scare Street and decided to buy it. My first ebook. Now, what happened will be explained in detail as I continue the introduction of this story.

An underground thrill through ancient catacombs proves disastrously horrific. A young boy is haunted by the scarecrow in the fields behind his home. And a woman is revisited by the ghost of a psychotic killer in the most dreadful of ways.

Scare Street brings you some of the best short horror stories by authors Ron Ripley, David Longhorn, Eric Whittle, Sara Clancy and A. I. Nasser, all in one book. My Review:

A Should try

Going for a Walk, Museum Quality, His Neighbour’s garden, The Graveyard Shift are Ron Ripley’s Stories and I liked none of them. I liked all the other stories, that’s why at the start of this post I introduced it like this.

Ok now for the best story here is Kimberly. I liked the concept of that story but yes it wasn’t like all the other great stories I have read. The worst story was The Doctor’s Questions. It was baseless, headless and I couldn’t understand it at all. I don’t even know how it counts for horror.

The rest of the stories were great. If you are a new horror genre reader and are frightened quickly, you can start with these stories. It also provides you with a free novel in the end.

It’s a short read and easy-going book. I liked it because the stories were unique. I liked it. You should try it. Definitely try it.

That’s it for today. The ebook is free so go and take it, read it and tell me how it was.

  1. I read few anthologies before. I don’t prefer them anymore. They are bit difficult to review, I end up saying more than required or very less. This sounds good for October read. Nice review!

    1. Thank you Yesha. I am sorry I couldn’t reply to your post. My blog was glitching and a lot of comments were spamming. So sorry. You should try this. There is never too much or too little to write, it’s only up to you how much you want to write. Your blog, your choice.

    1. You should. It’s not that bad but it’s not that good too. It’s average but worth a try. If you try it. Tell me okay?
